DIY classifieds site DiggersList offers up free wildflower seeds to everyone who posts their home improvement materials for the rest of April. 
We love everything about this plan because the good stuff just keeps coming: Once you post the items, people can sign up to buy them and place them in good homes -- places that will actually use that bamboo flooring instead of letting it sit in the garage. That leaves you with money in your pocket (or, you know, online bank account) and those seeds for you plant anywhere in your house or garden.
Feeling extra eco-ambitious? We dare you to invest the money you make from the sale to buy earth-friendly products like green outdoor furniture, lighting and paint.
Don't think you have anything to list? Look again: In the back of the garage, under the bed, in that out-of-sight-out-of-mind spot in the backyard. Worried that all that stuff isn't in good enough shape to sell? Check out our favorite feature on the site: Donating to a local non-profit. And yes, you even qualify for seeds if you post a "Wanted" ad... so if you've been craving a new drill/dishwasher/drywall, now's the time to speak up.
